A Beautiful Mess

Thirteen Random Things…
1. I will be starting a new job in August as Literacy Specialist at another high school in the area.
2. I am terrified of this new job because it is so different from anything I have ever done.
3. I am excited about this job because it is so different from anything I have ever done.
4. I will miss my students terribly.
5. I dread telling them I’m not coming back.
6. I will not miss grading papers!
7. I will not miss planning lessons!
8. I will not miss getting used to a new group of students.
9. If there had not been so many changes in my life this year, I probably would not have taken this leap of faith.
10. Even more random…I cleaned my kitchen last night.
11. I don’t care if the rest of the house is dirty so long as my kitchen is clean. I’m just like my mama!
12. I have a new cleaning tool…Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. It took of 3 years of bachelor hood from the stove and fridge.
13. I love my husband!

Today, I’m participating in Not Me Monday…a fun little blogging idea from MckMama.

This weekend, I did not leave a sink full of dishes unwashed and then use the excuse that I’d rather spend time with my husband than wash dishes.  I also did not spend an entire Friday evening at home alone eating chips & dip, watching mindless TV and playing Chainz2 on the computer.  And neither me nor my husband laid in bed this morning until almost 11:00am.  And I also did not behave immaturely and womanish (aka crying) when my husband suggested some plans for Memorial day and when he asked why I was so upset, I most certainly did not respond “I don’t know!” because I really did not know!

Whew!  That feels better!
